JCW is a non-profit organisation (NPO 000-566) and is registered as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 130001110).

This allows a tax benefit to our donors. JCW may issue Section 18A receipts for bona fide donations, which allows for donations of up to 10% of taxable income to be deducted from such income, as stated in the Act. Please contact us for a Section 18A tax certificate to ensure that we complete it with all the information required by SARS.

JCW will supply the details of a child (name, gender, age), and you can pack a box of age-appropriate treats. Whether it’s toys and clothing for a baby or stationery, sweets, and a heartfelt letter for an older child, your thoughtful gift can make a huge difference.

Host a Party:

What better way to bring joy to vulnerable children than by hosting a party in their honour? Parties offer so much more than a few hours of fun – they create magical moments to cherish, they create opportunities for children to bond, and they make JCW centres happier places to be.

Bake or Knit for Us:

If you enjoy baking or knitting, then you’ve got skills that give children thrills! We’d love you to donate those skills to us. Every three months, JCW holds birthday parties for children who celebrated their birthday over that period. They receive gifts, special treats – and birthday cakes. We need a lot of cakes and are grateful for donations of freshly-baked delights. If your skills lie in crocheting or knitting, then we need you too. Our foster care and adoption parents appreciate gifts for children that are handcrafted with love, such as blankets, beanies and baby booties.

Shop With Us:

Our busy charity shop can be found just around the corner from the JCW head office in Joburg. This little hole-in-the-wall is where we sell donated items that are surplus to our needs, such as second-hand clothing, shoes, bric-a-brac, toys, books, furniture, electrical items and more. We’d love you to pop in and find something to buy, because when you buy items we don’t need, we can buy items that we do need.
